Dear Parent/Carer
We are writing to say thank you for the support and feedback we have received during our first week in school. Testing has been an enormous success and we are currently well beyond 1500 tests in the last week – with no positive cases.
The attendance of students has been fantastic and it has been wonderful to welcome all our incredible young people back into UCC this week.
Our focus for the early part of our return is to try and support students as best we can in getting back into the routine and rigour of school life. Of course, for our year 11’s and 13’s these next weeks are crucial to their success in the summer – so they will have to hit the ground running and work hard.
For the remaining year groups our recovery plan is underway and we will be looking at how everyone is doing and where we need to focus our efforts over the coming weeks, months and years to secure the best possible outcomes for everyone.
This has been a challenging time and whilst I am somewhat biased, I am sure you will agree that Ullswater has done everything it can to support our young people throughout lockdown.
With that in mind, we would really value your opinion and as part of our evaluation process we would appreciate a couple of minutes of your time to complete this short survey; https://forms.gle/wj8P45wtYV8Ld1m3A
Thank you all once again, to say I am proud of the students, school and the community we serve is an understatement.
Yours faithfully
Mr S Gilby
