The UCC Enrichment Programme is an exciting addition to the Year 7 curriculum, designed to develop confidence, independence and valuable life skills beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, students complete six practical mini-courses, earning a badge for each new skill they master.
Every half term, students choose a new six-week challenge from a range of enrichment activities across four key areas:
- Life Skills & Leadership – Cycle Maintenance, First Aid, Outdoor Leader and Gardening Club.
- Creative & Performing Arts – Pottery, Fibre Arts, Hair & Beauty, Dance, Choir and Performing Arts.
- Health & Wellbeing – Bake Off, Yoga and Multi-Sport.
- Strategy & Public Speaking – Debating and Chess Club.
The UCC Enrichment Programme gives every Year 7 student the opportunity to try something new, discover hidden talents and develop skills that will support them both in and beyond school. By the end of the year, students will have completed six challenges and earned six badges.
