Welcome to UCC’s Sixth Form
We are proud to be a sixth form for all; a place committed to providing a personalised pathway that enables you to reach the most competitive destinations, whether that’s a place at Oxford or Cambridge, a top Russell Group university, or a prestigious degree-level apprenticeship.
Our ethos is simple: we combine high expectations and academic rigour with the unique, supportive relationships that define the UCC experience. This creates an environment where you are challenged to aim high and empowered to fulfil your ambitions.
Pathways to Excellence: A Curriculum for Your Future
We understand that success looks different for everyone. That’s why our Success Curriculum extends into UCC Sixth with a wide range of qualifications designed to suit your unique talents and aspirations.
We offer a broad selection of both academic A-Levels and high-quality vocational and technical qualifications, allowing you to build a programme of study that is right for you. This is delivered through quality first teaching in smaller class sizes, where you can engage deeply with your subjects and build strong, collaborative relationships with your teachers.
A Proven Track Record: Outstanding Destinations
Our students’ results and destinations speak for themselves. We have a proven track record of helping students make exceptional progress and achieve their first-choice places in higher education, training, and employment.
Year after year, our students leave us to begin the next chapter of their lives at some of the most prestigious institutions:
- Leading Universities: We have consistent success in helping students secure places at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities across a huge range of competitive subjects, from Medicine and Law to Engineering and the Arts.
- Competitive Apprenticeships: With expert guidance and strong employer links, we have a growing reputation for helping students win coveted degree-level and higher apprenticeships with leading national and international companies.
- Specialist Pathways: We provide tailored support and specialist advice for students pursuing direct entry into highly competitive fields such as veterinary science, music conservatoires, and elite art colleges.
More Than Qualifications: Developing Future Leaders
At UCC Sixth, we know that top universities and employers look for more than just grades. Our extensive enrichment programme is designed to build your character, confidence, and employability.
From taking on leadership roles within the school and mentoring younger students, to valuable work experience placements and community action projects, you will develop the communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills that make you stand out at any interview. You won’t just leave with qualifications; you will leave as a well-rounded, confident, and highly employable young adult.
”Our sixth form is an environment where every student has the conditions and opportunities to be the best possible version of themselves. The high expectations we have, together with the strong relationships that are unique to UCC, create an environment in which all students are encouraged to aim high and fulfil their ambitions. Whatever your dreams, whatever your aspirations, these opportunities, relationships, and high standards will ignite them. I invite you to come on a journey with us to shape your future.
