Year 10 Mock Examination Results

Dear Parent/Carer

I am writing to inform you about the recent distribution of mock examination results and feedback to our students. Students have been provided with their grades by their subject teachers, along with feedback on their strengths and areas for development.

At UCC, we believe in providing our students with regular opportunities to gauge their progress and identify areas for improvement. Mock examinations play a vital role in this process, allowing students to experience exam-like conditions and receive valuable feedback from their teachers. These mock exams serve as a benchmark to measure their understanding and readiness for the final examinations.

Teaching staff have diligently marked the papers and taken the time to provide personalised feedback to each student. This feedback is designed to be constructive and supportive, highlighting their strengths and areas for development. We encourage you to review the feedback with your child and discuss strategies for improvement.

Please note that these mock examination results are an interim assessment and are not the final representation of your child’s academic performance. They provide an indication of their progress and areas that require further attention. It is essential to recognise that students have ample time to work on their weaknesses and enhance their strengths before the final examinations.

We understand that as parents/carers, you play a crucial role in supporting your child’s educational journey. With this in mind, we would like to assure you that a comprehensive school report, including the most recent progress data, will be shared with you in the first half term of the next academic year. This report will provide a more holistic view of your child’s progress across all subjects, highlighting their achievements, areas for improvement, and offering guidance for their continued development.

In the meantime, should you have any concerns or queries regarding your child’s mock examination results or their progress in general, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. We look forward to your continued involvement and the successful progress of your child throughout Year 11.

Yours faithfully
Mr Rick Moss, Assistant Headteacher
Mrs Anna Douglas, Head of Year 10
