UCC’s commitment to developing well-rounded citizens is flourishing, with attendance at extracurricular activities hitting record highs this term. The school’s extensive schedule of breakfast, lunch, and after-school clubs continues to expand, giving every student a chance to broaden their horizons.
Recent highlights across the college include highly competitive sports fixtures, rehearsals for the upcoming production of School of Rock, and regional gymnastics triumphs. Furthermore, the school’s literacy drive has seen students read an astonishing, combined total of nearly 90 million words since the start of the academic year. Students are continually encouraged to participate in these clubs to build their cultural capital.
Our key aim is to develop an aspirational culture and to encourage all of our students to challenge themselves, naturally in the academic curriculum but also in every other sphere of a truly extensive enrichment programme
