Ullswater Community College is proud to announce that more than 100 Year 11 students have been officially appointed as Student Leaders for the academic year. To mark this prestigious responsibility, each successful student was presented with a coveted Golden Tie to wear with their uniform.
The selection process was highly competitive, with candidates evaluated on their day-to-day conduct and their passion for upholding the core values of UCC: being ambitious, caring, and equal. Commenting on the appointments, Mr. Castle said, “The level of maturity and forward thinking amongst these students is second to none, and I am very proud of each and every one of them.” Having spent their first half-term in office, the student leaders are doing a fantastic job managing peer activities and acting as stellar role models.
Our key aim is to develop an aspirational culture and to encourage all of our students to challenge themselves, naturally in the academic curriculum but also in every other sphere of a truly extensive enrichment programme
