Induction Day 2026

The UCC Sixth Form Induction day will take place on Tuesday 30 June 2026 

Please sign in at reception, and then head straight to the sixth form common room; Year 12 are on work experience, so you will have the place to yourselves.

The day starts with an assembly at 8:55am in the lecture theatre, and we will be finish at the end of the day at 3:25pm.

Following assembly, you will attend an introduction to UCC Sixth with current Year 12 tutors. You will take part in 3-4 taster sessions, as and have the opportunity to attend an additional UCC Sixth additional information workshop. .

Key Information

Equipment:

Bring a pen and notepad (There will be lots of information you’ll need to make a note of).

Dress Code:

Not uniform. Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. Be yourself but remember we are a school.

Break / Lunch time:

You can:

• Bring your own food (there is a kettle and microwave)
• Purchase food from our canteens (you will need to be signed up to our contactless iPay system)
• Go into town (we have plenty of space if you want to come back and eat it here)

Whatever you choose, don’t be late to your lesson.

Transport:

If you need a bus to get to and from the sixth form, from September, you must apply to WAF’s spare seat scheme as soon as possible:

The day finishes at 3:25pm.

However, our school is open from 7:30am until 5:00pm and sixth form students often use this time to complete any homework or assignments before heading home/to work.
