Uniform

Uniform commands the overwhelming support of parents, students and the school Governors. The standards we expect are very high and will remain so. School uniform is not an end in itself. If the local community respects and values Ullswater Community College as a whole, then it is much more likely to respect and value the children who are educated there. This has important implications for their future. A smart school uniform, which establishes a clear and distinctive identity for the school, is an important element in earning that respect and esteem.

Mandatory

• Black blazer with Ullswater Community College badge
• UCC Tie for the appropriate Year Group, or UCC Student Leader Tie – Available from UCC via www.ipayimpact.co.uk
• A white shirt with long or short sleeves, of a type designed to be worn with a tie; the shirt must be tucked in
• Plain black, full-length, trousers (must not be tracksuit bottoms, jeans, leggings or tight fitting
• Plain black, polishable shoes
• Plain black socks or black tights

Optional

• UCC skirt (no other skirts are permitted) – Available from UCC via www.ipayimpact.co.uk
• UCC jumper (no other jumpers permitted) – Available from UCC via www.ipayimpact.co.uk
• A plain, outdoor garment (no tracksuit tops, hoodies or denim)
