We can confirm that a teacher at UCC has tested positive for Covid-19.
We have been able to quickly implement our well-planned procedure, which complies with government and PHE recommendations. Students who may have been in close proximity to the teacher have been required to isolate for 10 days, as have any other staff who were also in close contact.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all the members of our community for their continued support; in particular the students, who continue to impress with their mature and responsible approach to these challenging times.
