Dear Parent/Carer

Thank you for another incredibly successful year at UCC. I would like to take this opportunity to make you aware of the arrangements for the end of term – and the start of the new term.

On Wednesday 19 July 2023 the school day will end at 12.40pm.

Period 1

08:55 – 09:45

Period 2

09:50 – 10:30

Break

10:30 – 11:00

Period 3

11:00 – 11:40

Period 4

11:45 – 12:20

Tutor time

12:20 – 12:40

Students leave

12:40 (buses leave at 13:00)

Attendance between now and then is really important, standard lessons will continue right up until Wednesday lunchtime – and students then get 7 weeks holiday.

Full school uniform is also expected right up until the end of term. There will be a uniform check towards the end of this week; any issues with uniform at this stage in the term will be identified and will need to be addressed before the new term. We understand that uniform is a significant expense for families and if there are financial difficulties relating to uniform provision, please contact us so that we can look at how we can provide support.

Any uniform orders for September need to be placed ASAP through www.ipayimpact.co.uk. We will text you as soon as your order is ready with a list of dates when Reception will be open for collection.

Similarly, Halbro needs PE kit orders by Friday 14 July to guarantee delivery for September. If you choose the free school delivery option we will send a text to let you know when your order is ready for collection.

In September, Years 7, 11 & 12 students start back on Tuesday 5 September 2023.

All years are back on Wednesday 6 September 2023.

An issue we encountered last year was students checking class charts for their timetables before they were finished, and then panicking that they were wrong! We can confirm that timetables are worked on right up until INSET day and students will receive a paper copy on their first day back.

Just a reminder that the school day from September is 08:55 – 15:25 (see below), and students will be on a two-week timetable i.e. week A, week B.

Tutor time

08:55 – 09:20
