Thank you for another incredibly successful year at UCC. I would like to take this opportunity to make you aware of the arrangements for the end of term – and the start of the new term.
On the last day of the summer term, Friday 19 July 2024, as normal the school day will end at 12.45pm.
Registration – 08.55 – 09.20
Period 1 – 09.20 – 10.20
Period 2 – 10.20 – 11.10
Break – 11.10 – 11.45
Period 3 – 11.45 – 12.30
Tutor time – 12.30 – 12.45
Final bell – 12.45 (buses leave 1pm)
Attendance between now and then is really important, lessons will continue as usual right up until Friday.
At this time in the school year we understand that some students may be missing items of uniform that have been outgrown or worn out. Form tutors and pastoral staff will have discussed any issues with individual students and these must be resolved by the start of the new term. Please can I also remind you that leggings are not acceptable and students who are wearing leggings currently will need to find school trousers ready for September.
UCC Golden Rule 6 makes clear our expectation that students wear full uniform at all times. From September, if students are not wearing uniform, they will be sent to withdrawal and possibly issued with a sanction as well. If there are valid reasons why students are missing uniform, this must be communicated to school by parents in advance.
We understand that uniform is a significant expense for families and if there are financial difficulties relating to uniform provision, please contact us so that we can look at how we can provide support. Our full uniform guidance is outlined here: https://ullswatercc.co.uk/uniform/
Any uniform orders for September need to be placed ASAP through www.ipayimpact.co.uk. School reception is open 9.30am – 3.00pm Monday – Friday and once your order is ready to collect you will receive a text message.
Similarly, Halbro need PE kit orders as soon as possible to guarantee delivery for September – if you choose the free school delivery option we will text you when your order is ready to collect.
In September, Year 7, 11 & 12 students start back on Wednesday 4 September 2024.
All years are back on Thursday 5 September 2024.
Students will receive a student planner and new timetable on their first day – if they need their PE kit on the first day you will receive a text message on Tuesday 3 September.
