Dear Parents/Carers

We are writing to provide you with crucial information regarding the upcoming examinations for Year 11 and Year 13 students.

Here you will find a detailed document outlining the following key points:

Preparing for Your Examinations: This section offers important guidance to ensure your child successfully completes their exams

Timings of Exams: This outlines the start times for both morning and afternoon exams, along with assembly times on the tennis courts

Unauthorised Items: This section highlights the importance of switching off mobile phones and removing watches before entering the exam room. The consequences of violating these rules are also clearly stated

Warning to Candidates: This emphasises the potential penalties for not following exam regulations, including disqualification

Entries and Tiers: This section reminds you that students are expected to sit for all their registered courses and outlines the procedure for verifying the statement of entry

Clashes: Details on how the school will handle situations where a student has a clash in their exam schedule are provided

Completing the Front of Your Exam Paper: This section provides clear instructions on how students should fill out their candidate information, including the required pen colour and other essential details

Exam Equipment: This outlines the permitted items that students can bring into the exam room.

Please ensure your child reads through this document carefully to familiarise themselves with the exam procedures. We encourage you to discuss the information with them and let us know of any questions they may have.

Year 11 and Year 13 students will have now received their exam timetables for the summer exams by email. Students are not expected to attend school after their last exam although all Year 11 and Year 13 students are expected to be available until the exam contingency day on Wednesday 26 June 2024 in case they are required to attend school at short notice for any exam related issues.

We understand that exams can be a stressful time for both students and parents. We are committed to providing a supportive environment and ensuring all students have the resources they need to succeed.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s year group leader or the exams office.

Yours faithfully
