Sixth Form Dress Code

By 29 August 2024No Comments

Students must wear UCC lanyards at all times on the school site.

Sixth form standards are high, this includes punctuality, engagement in lessons and meeting deadlines, but we would also like to raise the bar in terms of expectations of appearance.

We are not introducing a dress code at this stage, although there is a conversation to be had around this question in due course. However, we would like to request that you adhere to a principle of ‘smart-casual’ dress.

Some initial guidelines for this are given below:

Please, NO:

  • tracksuit bottoms or joggers, or leggings worn with short tops
  • Sportswear, unless you have PE lessons
  • Ripped or torn items, including deliberately ripped jeans
  • Flip flops
  • Scruffy, dirty, or frayed clothes or trainers
  • Offensive or inappropriate logos or slogans

Try to avoid:

  • Large logos
  • Very tight clothing
  • Cropped tops or very short shorts or skirts
  • Strapless items or spaghetti straps
