Firstly, thank you to those parents/carers who shared valuable feedback on their child’s experience of our National Careers Week activities, including our hugely successful Careers Fair.
As a result of this feedback, we are pleased to be able to share with you the linked guide, to help you support your child in making career decisions. We have worked closely with Cumbria Careers Hub to put this pack of information together, which is relevant to students in all year groups. It includes information about post-16 and post-18 choices, exploring the changing labour market and advice on how to start a conversation about careers if your child doesn’t know what they might want to do.
We hope that this guide, along with our new careers newsletter, SignPost, will help you to be able to explore your child’s career choices as they progress from school.
