Dear Parents/Carers
The next planned dates for teacher strike action are Wednesday 15 March and Thursday 16 March 2023.
I’m getting in touch to give you as much notice as possible about our arrangements for this day, which are similar to many of the schools across the county and a result of an anticipated reduced number of teaching staff on the day:
- UCC plans to remain open to Years 11, 12 & 13 on both days
- School transport will be running as normal
- We will endeavour to run lessons as normal for the students in attendance
- Lunch will be served as normal in the Westmorland Hall
- Years 7, 8, 9 & 10 students will remain at home and work online from Sparks maths, Educake and other shared resources
- Any Year 7, 8, 9 or 10 that are in receipt of free school meals – we will be providing packed lunches for these students – please complete this form to let us know that this is required and can be collected
We are sorry that you will have to make alternative arrangements for your child, and/or that they will experience disruption to their education.
I also understand that this situation may be frustrating, and ask that all members of our community continue to support the school in our endeavours to provide the best possible educational experience for all in a safe and secure environment.We continue to work closely with our staff and will keep you informed as the coming weeks progress.
