UCC Careers Fair – Thursday 9 March 2023

Dear Parents/Carers

We are excited to let you know that on Thursday 9 March 2023, UCC will be hosting a careers fair, which all students will have the chance to attend. This event provides an opportunity for students to find out about the different careers they are interested in, and to speak to local and national businesses, colleges, training providers and universities.

There will also be a chance for all parents/carers to visit the careers fair with your children after school. You will be able to visit stalls located in the Sports Hall between 4.00 – 5.00pm. So as not to interrupt learning at such a crucial time in the year, Year 11 students are also invited to access the event from 4.00-5.00pm. All other year groups will attend during afternoon lessons.

There will be around 40 employers and training providers with stalls, representing a wide range of sectors. Exhibitors are listed below.

Students attending during the day will be provided with a list of questions that they can ask in order to help structure their time at the event. It would be greatly appreciated if you could also encourage them to make the most of this opportunity to learn about the possible options they might like to pursue in the future.

We look forward to welcoming you to the after-school session and will be happy to discuss any questions you or your child may have about their future career aspirations.
