I’d like to start by wishing you all a Happy New Year. I hope you were able to have a calm and happy Christmas following the mock exams series.
Some students will be feeling positive about their mock experience, whilst some students will feel they have underachieved. Without question, ALL students will be able to improve on their mock examination grade.
I am writing to invite you to the Year 11 Parental Engagement Evening, on Thursday 12 January 2023, 4.00 – 6.30pm in the Westmorland Hall.
This will be an in person event, giving you the opportunity to discuss your child’s recent mock examination results and broader progress so far this year. This is also a chance to talk to teachers about how best to support your child in preparation for the upcoming second mock series (commencing Monday 27 February 2023) and this summer’s GCSE examinations.
It is also of paramount importance that your child attends school fully in the run up to the exams, and that they engage as fully as possible with all staff in all lessons. Meeting the expected attendance, behaviours and effort levels will really bear fruit for them in just 5 months time.
