Dear Year 13 Students
It is with great sadness that I’m writing to you regarding our Summer Ball on Friday 9 July 2021.
In light of the Government announcement this week, that the ending of lockdown restrictions will now not take place until Monday 19 July, and after consultation with the George Hotel, we have no choice but to cancel our Summer Ball.
As a year group, time and again, you have made so many sacrifices to help our society fight the global Covid-19 pandemic and to save lives. We are being asked to do so again, hopefully, for one last time. Of course, everyone who has bought a ticket will be fully refunded.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have spent many hours helping plan the event, and for your time and effort over the past month.
I appreciate that like us you will be enormously disappointed and as Monday 19 July is after the end of the summer term, the next time we will be able to come together as a year group will be on results day on Tuesday 10 August and I look forward to seeing you all again then.
