Year 11 Mock Examinations

By 20 November 2020No Comments

Dear Parent/Carer

Next week sees the start of the important Year 11 Mock Examinations. Due to the number of students currently self-isolating, we are making a slight amendment to the timetable. The maths and biology exams scheduled for Monday 23 November 2020 are being moved to Monday 30 November 2020. This is to ensure that students affected by positive cases last week will be back in school to sit all mock examinations.

The copy of the Mock Exam Timetable can be found here.  Students have also received a paper copy of their individual timetables.

Results for mock examinations will be available to students on Tuesday 5 January 2021, which will lead into a virtual Year 11 parents evening that will also take place that week. This will afford you the opportunity to speak with your child’s teachers who will set out the priorities for students for the following term.

To support students in their preparation for these important assessments, a wealth of resources are available. Information about the mock examinations, along with short videos from teachers are available here.

Teachers will also be adding revision materials to Google Classroom. For guidance on how students can access Google Classroom, there is a video here.

If students have forgotten their login information for Google Classroom, they should contact IThelp@ullswatercc.co.uk for support.

Finally, I would like to express my thanks for the support you are providing your child in the run up to their mock examinations. These are an important step in ensuring that all students are as fully prepared as possible for formal GCSE examinations next summer.

Yours faithfully

Mr R Moss

Assistant Headteacher
